John F. Meyers, M.D.

Dr. John F. Meyers is a member of the Sports Medicine & Arthroscopy Team at Tuckahoe Orthopaedics.  He received his medical degree from Ohio State University.  He completed both his internship and residency at Washington University in St. Louis, MO.  He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Meyers is active in the Arthroscopy Association of North America and previously served as President.  He has devoted much time to research that has resulted in numerous improvements in treatments and surgical techniques, especially for shoulder arthroscopy.

William R. Beach, M.D.

Dr. William R. Beach is a member of the Sports Medicine & Arthroscopy Team at Tuckahoe Orthopaedics. He received his medical degree from Ohio State University.  After completing his internship and residency at Washington University School of Medicine, he was awarded a fellowship in Arthroscopy & Sports Medicine at Orthopaedic Research of Virginia in Richmond. 
Dr. Beach and his medical staff primarily treat patients with knee, elbow, and shoulder injuries.  His patients range in age from the younger athlete with traumatic sports injuries to the more mature patient with repetitive injuries. He also treats injured workers.   Many injuries can be treated with rehabilitation and conservative therapies.  When surgery is required, the majority of his patients will benefit from less invasive, arthroscopic surgery.  The arthroscopic procedures that he most often performs are ACL reconstruction and meniscal surgery of the knee, as well as rotator cuff repairs and shoulder stabilizations.

Shannon M Wolfe, M.D.

Dr. Shannon M. Wolfe is a member of the Sports Medicine & Arthroscopy Team at Tuckahoe Orthopaedics. He received his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. After completing his internship and residency at Akron City Hospital (now Summa Health System), he was awarded an Arthroscopic Sports Medicine fellowship at Orthopaedic Research of Virginia in Richmond. (A fellowship is a specialized year of training that a physician chooses to pursue after completing an orthopedic surgical residency.)  
Dr. Wolfe and his team primarily treat shoulder, elbow and knee injuries/disorders. His patients range in age from young high school athletes with traumatic sport injuries, to weekend warriors with traumatic/repetitive injuries, to active seniors with degenerative conditions. He also treats injured workers. 

Paul E. Caldwell , M.D.

Dr. Paul E. Caldwell is a member of the Sports Medicine & Arthroscopy Team at Tuckahoe Orthopaedics.  He is a Richmond native and received his medical degree from Medical College of Virginia.  After completing his internship and residency, he was selected to attend a fellowship in Sports Medicine & Arthroscopic Surgery at Mississippi Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in Jackson, MS.

He also treats injured workers.  The majority of injuries can be treated with rehabilitation, but will occasionally require minimally invasive, arthroscopic surgery.  The arthroscopic procedures that he most often performs are ACL reconstruction and meniscal surgery of the knee, as well as rotator cuff and  labral repairs of the shoulder.

Dr. Julious “Jody” Smith, III

Dr. Julious “Jody” Smith, III, attended medical school at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed an internship as well as an orthopaedic surgery residency at the Medical College of Virginia. Following his residency, Dr. Smith completed a fellowship at Mississippi Sports Medicine in Jackson, Mississippi, under the direction of former ORV fellow, Dr. Felix “Buddy” Savoie.
